Japan pics

We lived in Japan for a little over a year back in 2004-2005. Mark got stationed in Yokosuka Japan. It was an interesting tour...unfortunately he was not home much.

I wanted to post a few pics (for you Alexis!..lol) to give you an idea on how beautiful it is especially during cherry blossom season:)

Wow! Those blossoms are amazing. Someone told me it was like they are raining they are so beautiful.

Great pics! It is so weird thinking I will be there in less than 3 months!

What part of Japan were you located in? (in relation to Tokyo or where we are in Kobe/Kyoto)

Thanks so much for sharing!

Alexis, the base we were stationed out of is in Yokosuka. Its about 40 miles (I think??) south of Tokyo.

I *think* you are going to be closer to Kyoto. I really need to check a map!

Those pics were from Kamakura. There is a giant Great Buddha statue as well as beautiful shrines.

All the pics I took of the cherry blossoms came out pinkish because there were so many! I am sure the blossoms are all over Japan...just awesome to see!

3 months are going to fly by!!
